5 Years Online
The britishdeaffootball.com website is now in its 6th year, and has been moderated and designed by Nick Beese, who has been in the GB squad since 1996, and was captain of the Great Britain Squad at the Melbourne Deaflympics.
Funding
The website has been kindly funded by Remark! who helped get the website on its feet in 2001. Remark! are a deaf led media business based in London who are very strong supporters of Great Britain Deaf Football.
Ground Breaking
The britishdeaffootball.com website was the first deaf sports website in Britain. Our website was set up in 2001, the same year that current Great Britain Men's manager Phillip Gardner took over, and rebuilt the Great Britain Squad from scratch. Phillip wanted to use the website as a tool to communicate with the deaf football community in Britain.
Re-vamp
The new website and branding was voluntarily designed by Beese & Beese, a design company run by Nick and his brother Matt. The new website was built in partnership with doaweb4me.com, a deaf led web hosting business run by Oliver Westbury.
Great Britain Manager Phillip Gardner, Oliver Westbury (Doaweb4me.com) Mark Nelson (Remark!) and Nick Beese (GB Trustee and Web Designer) toast the launch of the new website.
What's New?
This website now includes sections for GB Men, GB Women, EDC (English Deaf Cup) and the BDC (British Deaf Cup), so now you can read information on the Great Britain Deaf Football and the EDC and BDC in one place.
The message board has been brought back to life, with tighter controls to enable users to interact and share news.
Deaf football news, results, interviews and articles are all added regularly by volunteer contributors.
All 5 sections will add events, matches, competitions and important dates to the calendar which is shared by everyone, so you can keep up to date with what is happening in British Deaf Football.
