| Ukraine defeat Russia to win Gold |

Great Britain Men |
The Deaflympics have now ended with the closing ceremony taking place today. Ukraine today defeated Russia 3-2 to be crowned new world champions at the expense of Great Britain.

Ukraine celebrate after defeating France to reach the final
Great Britain ended their frustrating Deaflympics with a confident 3-0 win against Spain 3-0 to seal 9th place. Great Britain only lost one game in the entire tournament, losing to USA who finished 8th, and lost four games overall. Great Britain will rue their bad luck, but take heart from the experience having taken a squad full of young players with many footballing years left, and look to start preparing for the European Championships in Denmark, taking place in summer 2011, before gearing up to try and win back Gold at the next Deaflympics in Athens 2013.
The final standings for mens football were : GOLD - Ukraine, SILVER - Russia, BRONZE - Germany, 4th - France, 5th - Iran, 6th - Argentina, 7th - Ireland, 8th - USA,
9th - Great Britain, 10th - Spain, 11th - Denmark, 12th - Japan, 13th - Korea, 14th - South Africa, 15th - Kazakhstan
