USA crowned Deaflympic Gold medallists
The United States successfully defended its title in Women's Football this evening with a 4-0 win over Germany to capture the Gold in the event.

After 11 days of intensive competition, the American Women's team managed to keep their composure for one last time, rolling past their German counterparts to garner the victory.

The final game was blissful to watch;Neither team was able to break through against a tough defense that played rather conservatively in the first minutes, even though the time of possession would favor the Americans. It took a beautifully orchestrated goal by America's Liza Eleonora Offreda around 50-minute into the game to give the eventual champs a 1-0 lead. Felicia Marie Schroeder's sudden strike out of a crowded battle for the ball in front of the German goal would put the US ahead 2-0 seven minutes later.Schroeder would connect again later in the second half for her second goal of the contest after the US made it 3-0 on a goal by Katherine Ann Ward to conclude all the scoring on the night.

"We really enjoyed competing against Germany." American captain Reagan Anders said when she was asked about what she thought of the competitive Finals after the game. (By Sheu Hann-Wen)
