One of GB's current players, Harry Allen,who participated in both the home and away legs of the qualifying games versus Israel in order to qualify for the 2011 European Deaf Football Championships has been the star of the local news in Wales.
Harry helped GB to a successful aggregate score of 9-1 over Israel. Harry currently lives in Swansea with his brother, Joe Allen, who is a footballer for Swansea City FC and Wales. He has recently had his fifteen minutes of fame on national television, with a short piece being shown on TV by ITV Wales, talking about Harry's progress with GB Deaf Football and his sibling rivalry with Joe.
